This is the tale of the accidental fire that began aboard the USS Forrestal in 1967 while cruising off the coast of Viet Nam. It was written and recorded for the Airplane Geeks & Jetwhine Podcasts.

Before I left my position as a tower controller at Chicago's Pal-Waukee Airport - KPWK (now called Chicago Executive Airport) I manged to record about 45 minutes of me working traffic on a busy Saturday afternoon. At the time of this recording, the airport's annual traffic count was approximately 200,000 operations. We accomplished that using five runways - 30 Right, 30 Left, 24 Right, 24 Left and 16/34. Runways 30 Left and 24 Left are now closed.
