While I’ve been writing about the aviation industry for decades, I’d like to allow a few new folks to share their thoughts with the Jetwhine audience.
If you’re reading these words, then this opportunity is for you.
The topic? It could be almost anything … a personal experience story about learning to fly, an opinion piece about owning an airplane, or even a feature about why more women or people of color should be working in this industry. And of course, if you’re an air traffic controller, I’m open to just about anything (ATC was my first real job after leaving the Air Force).
I ask only one thing – probably only one – before you begin writing any story. Please send me an e-mail detailing a bit about yourself and why you believe you’re the best person to tell this story. Don’t worry if you’ve never written anything before. I’m happy to help guide you. Again, just don’t send me a complete story I’m not expecting.
I look forward to hearing from a few of you budding writers. And one more tip. If you’re thinking of writing, you need to begin by reading. Although this list is a bit dated, it demonstrates the importance of reading … even if you only read them on your phone.
